How do you guys feel about all the recip links.. I removed all of mine when they started banning sites left and right...just curious if this practice is still ok

Recip links still ok for new site and must link to related to its niche also.But when you have old site, try to limit your reciprocal links and more on one way links as possible.

i suggest that you should not focus on link exchange. It does help, but a one-way linking boosts your website more than link exchange does. You said, you don't have page rank yet: i don't think there will be other website related to your website's theme is going to risk his page rank for your own good. One-way linking is done through creating hyperlinks to blog articles that are related to your business website. Forum posting like this is also one form of one way linking. I have a new spin on reciprical linking that beats the google algorithm I like to call it rectangular reciprical linking. If anyone is interested in hearing about this concept let me know.
