Add a link to your realty site on my site
I have a new site that's mortgage-related. I decided to add pages for realtors in all 50 states. The pages are up as of today.
If you'd like to have your realty business on one of those pages, please PM me with your company name, address, city, state, phone, and URL for your site. You can also have an email link if you wish.
As I said, the site is new, and I'm not happy with the look, so I'm having a designer come up with a new look. So keep that in mind.Last edited by Monkeyleg; 10-31-2007 at 03:48 PM.

I see that my first post has had 33 views so far. I'm curious as to why nobody has taken me up on an offer to put their company info on my site.
If someone has an opinion, I'd appreciate hearing it.

The most probable reason why nobody is responding to your post is because G penalized people for this a few months back. People still do link exchanges, but the state pages is pretty frowned upon nowadays.

Mike, I've been doing SEO work for six years, and read posts every day on various SEO forums.
I know that Google has penalized directories that were nothing more than link farms. I also know that Google is cracking down on paid link exchanges.
But I've never heard anything about any penalty for free link exchanges, much less links to by-state pages.
Where did you hear that?

Mike, I did some checking on what you said, and found a very long thread on another real estate forum.
From what I've read into the comments on that thread, there were likely some questionable linking techniques being used.
What I'm offering above is a listing for realtors on my site. If Google were to punish a realtor for having a listing on a site, then all that realtor's competitors would have to do is submit said realtor's site to other sites.
