Default Trade links with 154 Real Estate Sites

We have 154 Real Estate sites for many major markets around North America. We are looking to trade with websites that can put our links on a page with PR of 3+ or on a new page(s) that are likely to receive PR of 3+.

In return we will put your link on all 154 of our sites' links pages. The PR of our sites vary widely from 2-7, while most are at 4. Some sites have excellent home page PR but many of the links pages are new so they do not have PR yet. Two of these are www.gilbertazhomes.com and www.movingtoaz.com

You will be getting your links on a guaranteed 22 pages with PR of 3 (unless you have created a new page for our links which then I would put your links on a new page also). Your link will also go on a number of pages with PR of 2.

If you are interested place our links on your site using the following code: http://www.ddppartners.com/links/content/links.txt

Once our links are up send an email to blucas@homesdiscovered.com with your preferred link information and I will promptly add your link to our sites.

If you have any questions just send me an email and I will get back to you.

Some of the sites that you will be receiving links on are below.

I don't mean to be critical here - just observant. It appears that Google is not placing any "link pop" value to your links pages.

For example, I performed a site:www.movingtoaz.com/links/ test on Google and it did show that your pages were indexed. However, Google did include the "repeat the search with the ommitted items included" link and phrase. This usually happens when Google does not consider the pages as important or relevant content.

Unless these pages were added after the last PR update, this is can also be confirmed since the actual links pages are PR0, despite the fact that the link directory page is a PR4. If Google gave any value to your links pages the next sub page down should be either a PR3 or PR2.

I could not find a robots.txt or use of the rel=nofollow tag that might prevent PR from passing to sub pages.

Once again, there may be no PR on these links pages because they were added after the PR update. If that is the case I will reserve further judgement until the next PR update.

Whether your links pages were PR4 or PR1 does not really matter. It only matters that they are passing any Page Rank. When Google does assign PR to a page that indicates to me that it is a link that is beneficial to my sites.

In order for links to be beneficial to your link partners I suggest re-thinking the way that you treat your interior link pages. For example, your real estate link pages are not categorized. All agents and sites are lumped together. Google "likes it" when you categorize them by state. I would also suggest added snippets of information on each state on those pages.

One other thing that we are beginning to do is when we get more than one outbound link to a particular city on a state page we are using H3 tags on that page. It is our intention to provide as much "link pop" as possible to our link partners.

Because links play such an important role in SERP's and over the past few years people have been able to link bomb their way to the top of the SERP's we believe that Google is continuously making changes to their algo and the way it assigns value to links pages. Over the next 12-18 months we expect to see a huge shift in SERP's as many. many links pages will lose most if not all of their value. These sites may be an example of this shift.

Like I said, I don't mean to bust your chops here. I did not check out every site that you listed (only the first two). I just want to point out that while your offer of 100+ links sounds attractive, I do not see any SEO/SERP value with Google for participating sites.

You are correct to assume that the pages were added after the last toolbar update. Other sites of ours which have the same layout do have PR on the links pages, for example http://www.carealestatehomes.com/links/links1.php or http://www.sandiego-real-estate-home...nks/links1.php

I changed many of our sites' links pages when I started at this company 2 months ago because there were too many sites using various link exchange methods which made it very difficult to add or remove links. I did this to organize the link exchange process better. Some of our sites, though, still have PR on the links pages. All of the sites do have a robots.txt file but it is not blocking out any pages in our sites.

I don't really see any benefit in organizing the links in any way. If Google sees 1000 links on a site it will treat them the way Google wants regardless of if they are neatly organized or if there are a few sentences of "filler" content on the page. I have heard so many theories about what Google wants in terms of layout, design, content, and links but I will keep doing what has worked for us so far. Many of the theories about Google's algo that get spread around these forums have sometimes become urban legends should be taken with a grain of salt.

We have made it to the top of a number of competitive searches by trading our links with like minded webmasters and sites. This has worked for us and them so far.

I believe Google continues to modify it's algo and the best thing to do is monitor the serps often. I have been monitoring our serps for the last two months and we have been moving up the food chain in that little of time.

I will continue to trade links the way we have been and until Google makes serious changes that hurt our results, I will continue on.

BTW, after Google updates the toolbar, the links pages on our site www.gilbertazhomes.com, which currently has a home page PR of 7, will receive PR of 5 as decending pages normally would. I would say that those links pages DO currently have value, as in a futures market.

I went to Hilton Head once. I like it there.

Thanks for the follow up and clarification. Again, I was not trying to talk trash about your sites. As a moderator here I try to help out our fellow readers with some of the insights that I have on web design and SEO.

I did send you a PM to discuss potential opportunities down the road.

Based upon other forums, there have been posters who have taken the time to post these sites links only never to be reciped. Additionally all the sites are identical. There is no benefit to have a link on all 154 sites, though it sounds good. JMO.
