Default Now is a good time to buy

Now it is a good time to buy properties in Florida esp with beach front views.

If I have money, I would buy as much properties in Florida.

I am not in the real estate business, just putting the investor's hat.

I'll invest in stocks and properties.

Are the properties insurance and taxes a bit afforadble now?
When I left in 2005, my property taxes (3bed/2bath-1600sf) came from $2800 up to $6000 / year and my insurance doubled to $2800 / year...
    Now I'm in TN and it's $1050 / year...for both !!!

There is no way anyone can escape the escalating cost of property tax and insurance......property tax is by that silly greedy out of control city govt and the insurance from the greeds.

If you rent , you still have to pay for the hidden cost.

Might as well buy and build equity!!!

Where are you going to live??

It is all about location location location

Everyone needs to eat, and if you have to drive-- you need gas.

Food, gas and housing are the 3 unavoidable elements in our life now and better get use to it!!

So many oceanfront properties are listed are half of what they costed a couple of years ago. Yes, there are a lot of bargains in Florida, especially in Miami where the overstock of oceanfront condos will keep driving the prices down further. There are many investors from other states who have already jumped in. You got so many options and the prices are so low. It does seem like a great time to buy.

It is a good time to buy in most places provided you have the money to put up front - it really isn't worth getting a mortgage at the moment considering the rates.
