Access To MLS For NON Real Estate Agents
I'm curious, where to most investors get MLS information to study properties? Do you use an agent, are you an agent, or do you get this information from anywhere else?
Is is possible to get access to an MLS database if you are not an agent. In order to do some data analysis I don't want to just look at a website, I want access to the database. Is that possible?
Thanks.

No way. To access the MLS, you need to pay your board dues, which is only available for people owning a RE license. I passed mine just to have access to the MLS, years ago...

Thanks, I was thinking about taking the boards if that would give me access to the mls. Too busy at the moment, maybe I'll get my wife to do it!

Build relationships
Partnering with a *good* agent can be just as good, if not better than getting your license.
An agent with whom you have a great relationship will get you whatever info you want, and you don't have to deal with all the restrictions on investing when you have your license.

Purchasing contacts allows you to spend your valuable time selling rather than researching.
