Sewri Nhava Sheva Trans Harbor link
Mumbai is witnessing the ever increasing congestion on the existing rail and road corridors coupled with limitation of further expansion on these corridors. There is a need to expand the city on the mainland across Arabian Sea. The government’s initiative towards Mumbai Trans Harbor Link (MTHL) has provided additional access from Mumbai to mainland at South Navi Mumbai.
I think this will not only give rise to additional traffic movement but also bring out the need for greater economic integration of Mumbai with mainland. This shall surely benefit the development of the southern part of Navi-Mumbai and equally have development in the Suburbs.
MTHL will also join the Mumbai–Pune Express Highway. This shall boost the Real Estate demand in the Suburbs in South Mumbai. What do you think about this? Will it be advantageous for residential demands?
