financing
I commute into Fort Lauderdale from about 80 miles away.
Looking at real estate listings I find that there are single family homes for $40,000 or less. They're in bad neighborhoods, but in decent shape to stay in during the week. A lot cheaper than a hotel. If worse came to worse, and something happened with the work situation, I could rent it out.
I'm upside down in my home and not only has that made it impossible to me to leave and move to Fort Lauderdale, but I'm pretty sure it will be difficult to finance anything. I know I can afford payments on something like this, but is there any lender than someone here could suggest?
I have ten acres of land in North Florida. That's probably valued around $50,000. Could I use that for collateral?Last edited by Chief Tutor; 04-14-2010 at 08:54 AM. Reason: No Phone Numbers
