Real Estate Investor while having a Brokers License
Hi Everyone,
I am very young and very new to the real estate game. I am currently finishing up my last education requirement to get my RE brokers license in the great state of California. My original plan was to obtain my license, use the experience to learn about sales and real estate transactions (basically try to be around income producing properties and learn as much as I can.) I have a lot more interest in commercial real estate as opposed to residential. Finally I was looking to become a full time investor after the appropriate education and capital have been gained.
My question is..... When looking at the market and the litigious society we live would being an investor and holding a Brokers license just put a target on my back for buying and selling properties?
I am 23 years old and looking to get started so to speak. I know I need to get sales experience and more RE experience. I like the monthly cashflow and appreciation values on proper real estate investing.
So as I sit her reading my RE law book I wonder if getting a license would actually be in my best interest?
