The economy might be bad and the forecast gloomy, but if you need a house to live in, this is as good a time as any to buy. However, when it comes to buying a house as an investment, would you put your hard earned money in it? Do you think the real estate market is going to bounce back and is likely to give you phenomenal returns on your investment?

Definitely, it's NOT good to invest when everybody else is investing -- that's when the prices are high, usually. In my opinion, now is the right time to invest in real estate.

I prefer the quote by Warren Buffet on this subject the best. I think it sums it up very well. "Be afraid when others are greedy and be greedy when others are afraid"

Do you mean, when is it s good time to invest? Umm, invest in what? RE?

The answer is ANYTIME! In sellers markets and in buyers markets is a great time to invest, it is just that you need to use different techniques that the markets dictate. I have made huge $$ investing in sellers markets and huge $$ in buyers markets.

As for the markets of today, if you are not investing now, my gawd, you are severely missing the boat, you will NEVER see such opportunities that are out there now, once this cycle turns back. It happens once-in-a-lifetime, so here is your chance, the next one will be for your future generations!

    Questions?

Even in the worst crisis, there is some trade, so that means that RE is also being purchased and sold. People should not listen the nonsenses served from the TV which only have psychological effect of spreading fear. Wise people are investing now. Why? It will never be cheaper, you have wide choice... But it's not that easy, if you don't know what you are doing and what are your plans, random acting like "fly without a head" was never good, and especially not in these times. When this mess in financial market clears, economy will pick up speed again people will start earning good money again, demand for everything will grow, and then what? Time will tell...

True enough, just going out there without being properly trained is crazy... But then again, if you are not properly trained, you don't see the opportunities. Of course there are those "late-night graduates" that have enough to start to see the opportunities, but don't have the experience to know good from bad. Then it turns to a struggle for their lives. And many were not prepared for the challenges, and it brings them down (sadly.)

But now that is not an excuse to not get properly trained.

Well, I don't know about that... It is not like there isn't enough to go around. Nope, no shortage of deals out there, so they don't need to keep their mouths shut (I don't think) since there is no way to handle them all. I would YELL it from the rooftops, if people would understand the awesome opportunities that are out there, but when they are just trained to look at the housing crash as a BAD THING, my shouts usually falls on deaf ears... Only the enlightened will be rewarded.

    Later!

    @ REITrainingWhse
I Agree with you, completely. And in second paragraph I wanted to say the old Latin saying: "Acta non Verba" meaning: Actions, not words. I wanted to say that many people are just talking and doing nothing, while wise people are trying to do something, that doesn't automatically means that they will suceed but at least they tried, but in most cases they suceed.
I appreciate your effort to tell that to the people, but I had an acknowledgement that today there is more stubborness in people than it was ever before, and everybody thinks they know best, and in that situation, I dont want to spend even a single atom of my strength to correct false oppinions.

    Cheers

    Scout,

Yeah, action separates the successful from the dreamers. That is what all those "late night informercials" prey on... Buy the material, and let it collect dust on your bookshelf, or deep within your closet. Many of the courses have "good" information, though maybe painted in a way to sound like it is easy to implement, so when the person tries some of the "strategies", they find out that they have not made instant millions, and they give up. Though A LOT of the buyers of those materials think the JUST BY OWNING the "home-study course" they should become instantly wealthy, and not even open the box.

What I say to all my students is that all the training and education of the world mean NOTHING, if you don't take action. You could know EVERYTHING about the business, but if you fail to even take the first step, and understand that it is not a GRQ process, it all means nothing... Just some perserverance and action. That is why YOU NEED TO LOVE what you do, since if you truly love it, it won;t be hard to "keep going" when the times get tough, since you love doing it anyway. (Training Lesson: You can make millions doing anything, so love what you do... Just look at some people who have made their fortunes turning their hobby into a business.)

Well, enough beatings... I think the horse is dead!
