    Default Can someone help me buy a foreclosure?

    I live in the Chicago Metro area...can someone help me buy a foreclosure with around $70K in equity for a $250,000

    Well I can't help you do that in Chicago but I can help you beat those numbers in Houston. Let me know if you decide to start looking in Houston.

    The average home sale price in Houston is just over $200,000. We have foreclosures in decent areas selling for as little as $60,000. And they can be rented for around $1,000 a month. We also have homes in the nicer subdivisions with market values of of $250,000 selling for as little as $180,000. Most of these homes are in good repair and would rent for about $1,600.

    I wish you were in KC, there are so many foreclosure properties that are being up for sale. I myself recectly purchased a property for 23k and two years ago it was sold for $85k.
