    Default Website vs. Web Strategy

I read a great article this morning, Website vs. Web Strategy, that I thought I would share with everyone. It talks about how having a website is basically useless without a good strategy. I think it is right on the money because to many people create a website with the "If you build it they will come" approach and just sit back waiting for the leads. I hope you all enjoy the article

The article really rings true, working on back end systems are as important as how the site looks and I know for me is something I am only starting to work on.

Great Insight! It is so true, it's amazing how many people tell me that they have a website because you're suppose to have a website these days. It blows me away. Why have something so useful and then just let it sit there. Your right, a web strategy should be set up like any business strategy and if it is looked at that way it will be successful. Thanks for your input.

    Default Website Promotions

I think having a website is key, but yeah if you're not using it for the benefit of your clients or getting any traffic, what's the point. Your website can be used to post more detailed information about the property with video, pictures, or panoramic slides. You can post videos of your properties on YouTube.

As far as marketing the site, obviously, you post the URL to your site within all ad listing you post for properties you're marketing. Then, begin to grow your name in the local community, posting in local blogs and at other sites. I think it's wise to partner with other local real estate agents who have strong websites via link exchanges. Buying traffic via Google Adwords is also worth testing-or at other ad networks. You'd be surprised how cheap some more specific terms are.

It takes time, but if you slowly put time into your site on a regular basis you'll have a strong site before you not it.

ssssshhhhhh. Don't let this get out. You don't have to be number one in the serps. You just have to be the one that works for them.
