Default common challenges with home inspectors and realtors?

    Hi,
I'm getting into the home inspection business and wanted to see if I could determine some challenges I might run into when working with Realtors. I am pretty reasonable and am trying to learn everything I can about this business that will help relationships.

Are there any typical issues that you see repeted and what might some solutions be?

    Thank you,
    Jayme

I think you should treat the agent just as you would the "paying" customer. The agent should be kept in the loop on everything and they will pay you back with future business. On your first few inspections with an agent you have never done business with, spend a little extra time with them.

Thanks for the tips. On a side note, I graduated from UNCW and have a good friend down there who is a real estate attorney - small world.

I have always appreciated inspectors who are not too alarmist with every detail on the report. I work with a great inspector out here in San Diego who does a great job of separating the issues that are not of great concern and keeps the foucs on issues of safety and function.
