War Vet can`t locate a new home!
Many time we do our jobs never fully understanding how we can "Help Others". We learned the meaning of those words yesterday!
We received a call early yesterday morning from a young man who explained that he`s been attempting to find someone who can assist him with the buying of a home. His price range is $80,000. He`s looking to purchase a home in Ocala Florida.
He explained that he arrived in town on Thursday and called numerous other Realtors, who for whatever reason had no time to show him any properties!
This youngman has been serving our country for the past 18 months in Iraq.We started going over his options to find that he needed help with his VA certificate. He wasn`t quite sure what he was supposed to do. He drove around Ocala on the weekend dealing with FSBO`s and none of them wanted to work with him, if he was going to use his VA loan!
Hard to imagine, worse that our young men are fighting to protect us and nobody he met would take the time to learn what a VA loan is.
This youngman`s a fighter and wouldn`t give up.
Solider: I can`t believe that not a single person here would help me!
Me: I promise you, we`ll have you in a home within the next 20-25days!
Solider: I`m living with my sister. She moved to Ocala and I can`t believe how beautiful it is, yet, I can`t find anyone to show me around. Does anyone work here on weekends?
Me:There are several area`s that we`ll show you, I`ll have one of our Realtors start making arrangements for you to view as many homes it will take before you decide, no pressure, no problems!
Solider: It seems that nobody wants to help me, because I have a VA loan!
Me: Not only will we help you, we`ll make sure that you buy a home with your VA certificate!
With that I made a few calls around town to several agents making sure that some of the condo`s in the area allowed VA loans and start pulling out property on the MLS!
As it turns out this Great Solider was able to locate a home after looking with our agent in less than four hours!
He`s ecstatic, that we helped him, and is relieved that he can soon move out of his sisters home and begin a new life in Ocala!
A solider of good fortune indeed!

Good Job
I could hardly believe my eyes as I read your comment--Bless your soul.
I'm retired Air Force (as is my husband) and we've used our VA several times.
To all out there: a site that list specifically for military and you can list on here too. Rats...says I can only list url's after 15 posts. I'll try to cheat.

That happens on a daily basis.
And this is the reason why I passed my RE license, so I could finally find an agent (me) to get me a property...
Is the URL: www.ahrn.com ??
