Cannot believe what happend yesterday...
some pinhead stole my "house for sale" signs that I was using for my open house I was doing. they took the one right in front of the house and one on a busy corner. I dont get it!!! my face is on the sign as well as my contact info. there is nothing of value in them to anyone but me.

Bummer! I know in some areas the police will come around and pick up signs so they can collect fines as there are rules about where you can and cannot place them. I don't know if this applies to where you are or not, but it might be possible.
Or maybe just someone playing a game with you. Hopefully they will show up so you don't have to buy new ones. Try checking with the local police to see if they have them, you might luck out.

It was probably some teenagers that had nothing better to do but cause trouble. I used to have that problem as well on a certain home in a neighborhood. I had a friend that was police officer and I asked them to cruise the neighborhood if they had a chance and he actually caught two teenagers walking down the street with my sign. Guess what, never had a problem in that neighborhood again

Stolen Signs
I don't know about the rest of the country but in Florida the RE agents are notorious for stealing other peoples signs, especially Open House signs.
They often reuse them themselves or just do it to lower the competition!!Search New Construction Developments In Europe at www.EuropeOffPlan.com

it's pretty sad to hear other agents stealing signs. Goes to show the integrity of them. Hopefully they are not in the business to long!

In Colorado allot of cities are are not allowing these signs anymore. I have had my signs taken by the city several times. Just another reason I hate doing open houses!

I agree, it may be the City. They are really cracking down on the signage.

reminds me of an open house I did a few weeks ago.
I was looking out the front window, and a couple of teens are going by, with my directional balloons tied to their skate boards. Of course they were eyeing up the balloons on the sale sign as well, but the saw me staring them down
They did leave the directional signs in place though...so I guess it wasnt too badRob Gerhart, REALTOR

I would contact the city/police department and see if they took them. I have actually picked some up after they were taken from the city.
