    Default Printers

As I'm sure all of you know we do a lot of printing. I'm shopping for a new printer for my home office and I'm curious what types of printer/scanners some of you have purchased lately and how your experiences have been. I'm currently leaning towards Canon or HP.

I use an HP 7850 Photo Smart printer. I think it is a good printer and the speed is good, by using it I also can produce really good flyers because of the photo quality of the printing.

The one draw back is the cost of the ink cartridges. Therefore, before I bought a new printer again I would compare number of pages you can print from a cartridge of each of the printers I was interested in and let that also guild my decision making. As real estate agents we really do lots of printing and the cartridge price adds up.

    Good luck,

    Canon - no contest.

I have a Conon iP6600D and its great. It's more economical than any HP photo printer that I have ever owned. It's also a lot sturdier and a lot more reliable than HP. It also makes great photos with all standard sized paper (it does not do largter poster paper).

I still have an HP laser printer and an HP laser fax that work well, but every HP photo printer I have ever owned has been junk. I will never buy another HP photo printer again.

Thanks guys, I ended up going with an HP. I was told by more than a few people that the canon printed photos a little better but the HP was faster and more ink efficient which was much more important to me.

By the way the thing has got wireless 802.11. How cool is that. I just set it on a table and plugged it in. No cables but the power cable. Man that's just cool.

In case anyone's interested it's the HP Photosmart C6180

Printers are output devices, print on paper, which will produce a hard copy of the results of operations. Printer can print at high speed. It produces output on paper. It can also print the lines and simple figures such as square, rectangular and round.

I use Epson printers both at home and in the office - An A4 wireless / networkable machine and an A3 printer connected through a wireless hub.

The previous HP gobbled ink and lasted about a week beyond the warrenty period.
