a Clause in the Acknowlegement of Receipt of Settlement Statement
in a acknowledge of receipt of settlement statement, there is a clause:
'The borower and seller acknowledge that (closing attorney), LLP and Lender make no representations as to the status of any outstanding or past due water, sewer or other utility bills applicable to the property. The status of such items shall be determined by and are the responsibility of the Borrower.
'
what is this mean? Buyer kept complaining he is not responsible for all outstanding bills of utilities, but closing guys said it not mean that. My broker stand on side of buyer.
Thanks in advance.
