As a buyers broker, I rely on my IDX real estate search for almost all of my business. It is invaluable if you intend on getting internet leads.

I'm curious, does anyone here have a very very prominent website, and if so, what is your daily visit amount and how big is your market?

I definitely think making your website as helpful as possible is the best service you can provide. That's hilarious about the dude with the stogie. We have a few of those here and I crack up at some of their advertising.

I don't think there's any doubt that having a presence online is valuable. Most households in the US have internet access, and more and more are going to high speed access, such as broadband. People go online to search for everything, from news to RE agents.

Websites are good for agents of all kinds..I know many that don't simply because they have a solid referral business method. However, I do believe that a website WILL maximize sales potential.

Default Any agents selling "Homes with History" or "Historic Homes"?

I have a great opportunity for agents interested in accessing home buyers looking to find homes with history... historic properties. If this description fits with your business model. I am currently taking offers on "HistoryHomes.com"
