Land is the New Stock Market
Unlike the Stock Market, which is based on paper money, Land investment is based on one of the few things that lasts. It's a very interested phenomenon. Like oil, land is a finite commodity - there is only so much of it. However, unlike oil, land will always be here and can always be changed. These factors make land a much more solid investment, especially compared to the shaky stock market.
The United States has seen a demand in both developed and undeveloped properties. In combination with an increase in outdoor activities has led to higher land prices over time. This trend seems to be continuing and is the leading factor into the short term investment aspects of land.
What else can you use land for? Depending on zoning, you can build residential houses, commercial buildings, ranches, wildlife plantations, farms, timberland farms, and even recreational hunting land!
As the economy continues to strengthen and grow over time, property buyers should benefit from their investments. Just remember you get your investment in areas that are hot - golf courses, lakes, rivers, cities - are just some examples. The decision in investment is always yours, make the right one and secure your future the right way.

Land can be a great long term investment but there are many factors to consider before jumping in. If you do not research well, what could be a great investment may turn out to be a bad decision. As a matter of fact there is an article I just read about vacant lots becoming hot you might want to check out.

I guess the quote: "Land always appreciates,it never depreciates.", applies to this thread. It is always good to invest in properties for a better income value in the future.
