Thank you to the forum for input and ideas

    I would like to increase the scope of my drip email campaigns;
    A) to potential prospects
    B) to a North American data base of agents for referral business

Where do people gleen these data bases?
How to impliment this type of email program?

Your thoughts and insights are invited

You can buy lists from list brokers. Melissadata.com has some I think. I've never used them for email, but they do regular addresses as well.

For the brokers you should be able to use any eflier company. They generally either buy or scrape the data from the web. Here's one. http://www.mlsflyers.com/

You can basically just search for email flyer and a ton of companies will come up.

I know I'm going to sound like the Web 2.0 police here...but I think it's worth discussing. The internet experts will tell you that you are far better off with 10 people who opted into your list vs. 100 people who don't know you. While you're weighing your options, I would look into blogging, enewsletters, and other ways to create a community of followers. I gotta tell you it took me a while to adopt this philosophy but its been worth it. I hope this helps or at least gets you to thinking.

when i first started wholesaling in 2005 I made the mistake of scraping realtor websites to get email addresses and got a call from remax's web master. Be careful and mix up your mailings so they dont notice a big blast.

Default I personally have never used email blasts.

Everyone that I know that has tried them said that the response was terrible. I get so many emails and I usually delete 99% of them. If you do it let us know how it goes. Good luck!

try using http://www.streamsend.com, I've used them for several years and they are good for broadcasting and tracking your responses. The prices are reasonable and they have pre made html templates for your emails.

    Dave,

If you want people to get your emails do not use the html based emails. Many of the new spam filters are stripping the html or blocking them all together. If the html gets stripped your message is an unreadable mess nd obviously if it gets blocked you wasted your efforts. I think you would be better off building relationships with other agents in other markets than you would be by mass mailing them. I wouldn't even read an email like that it would hit the trash can fast.

You should participate heavily on twitter with agents and LOs in other markets and spend some time cultivating relationships on REW. Also check into wannanetwork.com as it is common for members of that forum to exchange business as well as ideas. Just my .02.

    Default National Agent List

I saw a site yesterday that advertised $395 for 1.4M agent emails in the US. I don't know if they are good. It's called datadepot.biz

Many html emails that get sent to me look like a bunch of gibberish code.
