Default How To Structure A Profitable PPC Campaign

Having worked on thousands of PPC campaigns for realtors, mortgage brokers and real estate investors PPC it is definitely profitable if the campaign is developed properly.

The first tip is very important and this is where majority of advertisers get things wrong. Your website must convert first before you decide to start a PPC campaign.
Google Adwords, MSN and YSM have implemented new quality score rules in order to provide the end user the best possible experience. You as the advertiser must abide by those rules

    Here Are a Few Tips

    • Start with your landing page, this is very important your landing page must convert or you will be wasting your advertising dollars. Your website must convert potential homebuyers & sellers to take action. Either to pick up the phone to call you to use your services or to request additional info on a property etc.

    • Structure the account properly, your ad groups and campaigns must be well targeted.

    • Invest in proper keyword research - use only keywords that drive you traffic and convert for you.

    • Track your campaign, this is were majority advertisers go wrong as well by not tracking their advertising spend to find out their ROI.
PPC can be very profitable but you can also loose your shirt if not done correctly. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me.

    Regards,
    Trd

Do you usually recommend time specific ads as well. I know you CAN run ads 24/7, but it's it more effective at certain times of the day or night?

    Hi DonovanK,

Dayparting is recommended after you find out what time of day your customers actually convert. It is an effective way to save on advertising and increasing your ROI. Check your logs to see what time of day clients hit your site and convert. Conversion could be a request for more information on a particular property or if they pick up the phone and call. However tracking phone calls is a little bit more advance. I hope that helps.

Sometimes finding the right keywords is a painful task, I heard from someone that it is better to use keywords that have high daily word searches and low competition.

    Great stuff.

Tracking your conversion rate by time of day is very interesting. I bet 9 in the morning is a good time, everyone is surfing the internet instead of working.

How do you charge for your PPC services?

I'm a web deisgners, so I've run some PPC campaigns to drive traffic to the new sites. I didn't charge for my coordination since it was new to me.
