Default Be Wary of Self Hosted Shopping Carts

Both of those platforms are decent for SEO. It really matters more what keyword research you do, the way you write content(title, page text, etc.) and the inbound links you can collect.

But with that being said, unless you are proficient with server security, or have someone on your team who really knows what they are doing I would stay far away from these self hosted solutions.

Two of the best "hosted" carts are volusion and Shopify. Both are secure, user friendly, come with support staff and are good from an SEO standpoint.

One of the most important things in SEO is to have search engine friendly urls. This means that your urls should be something readable (www_yoursite_com_properties_latestProperties) and not computer jargon (www_yoursite_com_php?id=1237839479).

Magento has this feature built in the system and it is very easy to use. For Zen Cart it is more complicated as you have to install a plugin and edit some configuration files (htaccess) to allow mod_rewrite rules.

Thumbs up Which is better for SEO?

If your on page SEO is Strong then what software you use for this doesn't matter. Bcoz your title, description & Keyword is not perfect your site then everything is lost.

So perfectly most important on page SEO.

    Bye for this day.

zen cart will probably have a little edge, but in the long run that really doesn't matter

Exactly - this kind of stuff is overratted. What you need for good SEO is solid content, content rollover, the ability to do a first class keyword analysis, then planning your content accordingly.

Also - of course - as many quality inbound links as possible - but again, the better your content, the higher the chance for quality inbound links.
