Default New here :) Question about license

    Hey there fellow Oregonians!

I am currently interested in becoming an agent and have been looking into the process of getting my license. Any recommendations or advice on the site/schooling to use? Proschools.com appears to be a good site to use, but again, I am new to all of this and am not sure where to start. Should I be interning somewhere before I get my license and do companies even do that? I am just starting out and a little lost. Thanks in advance!

    Hi Lacy,
Proschools is great for helping you to get your license, but the majority of information in the books is not used on a daily basis once you become an agent. My rcomendation if you want to get going is to use ProSchools and get your license. Then you need to find and agent or agency to work with that can give you step by step real world training. Good Luck!

Default What you need to know on getting a license

    Hi Lacy.
I don’t think your state requires internship but I’m pretty sure that it will require a certain number of hours for your education on real estate. I suggest that you check your state’s requirements first. Take a real estate continuing education or pre-licensing training courses for preparation on your licensure examination. Make sure that you complete all the requirements before the scheduled exam. Pass the exam and you’re ready to go. You may consider online real estate school so it wouldn’t hassle your schedule. Good luck!

    Hi Lacy,
Proschools is very good for getting your Oregon license, it is how I got my training. Don't buy the flashcards or the extras, I never used them. Another plus and tip, many of the questions proschools has on their quizzes are almost exactly the same as the state test. I took all of the review tests again the weekend before my state test and passed with flying colors. Good Luck!
