I want an apartment, but...
Hey all,
I recently graduated high school and I was as well recently offered a job in Fitsburgh, Massachusetts. I am currently residing in Torrington, Connecticut so this would be a very large move for me. I have talked to my (hopefully) soon-to-be employer and I will be making ~$1,4000 a month. Now obviously trying to pay for an up-scale apartment is far out of the question but I have been looking around and I know what I want, and from what I understand, it's the cheapest way to go. I am basically looking for a studio apartment, 1 bath (sink/toilet/tub) and anything else that will come with it (obviously a stove and such would be nice). I don't intend on spending a whole lot of time in the apartment because I will be working 7 hours each day, and then I will be spending most nights on the town, or at my employers house hanging out with him, and the weekends I will spend (probably) here at home in Connecticut. I was talking to my employer earlier today and he told me that for about $500-$600 a month I can live in a decent apartment which would be fitting for a recent high school grad. And with my paycheck $800 will be my left-over cash after rent, which is okay with me! *chuckles* So basically can anyone give me some base and tell me if his price range is correct for an apartment? My second question is what is the average price of "utilities" and what exactly are they? As of right now these are my biggest concerns, so if you can enlighten me I would very much appreciate it!

Hi Dom,
That was a monsterous post with lots of questions! First and foremost, I think your may be posting your question in the wrong area. The area you posted in is for "New Realtors", not those seeking rental information. Maybe browse the site and reconsider where to post this type of question.
