    Default The First Impression

The first impression of a house is one of the most important things, I've been told. Along the lines of this, how do you suggest to make the first impression outstanding? What are a few of these key aspects?

one of the things you will hear agents talk about is "curb appeal." it is that first impression when you drive up to the curb.

the first thing people will generally notice is if everything is clean and well maintained. ie the lawn should be mowed and the paint not peeling off, etc...

beyond that it's about the creativity of designing the home and the architecture and landscaping.

the neighborhood also has a big impact. if you are trying to sell a house, and your neighbor has some junk laying out front, then it doesn't hurt to ask if they can clean it up and you can offer to get them some help if needed.
