New to forum; prospective real estate agent
This is my first post so I would like to start off saying, "hello to all." I look forward to asking questions and sharing ideas in this community.
Im considering getting my real estate salesperson license in texas for the purpose of access to the MLS. My question: Is that going to allow me full access to the complete MLS, or would I have to be a "real estate broker" to be privileged to such info? any responses are greatly appreciated.

In order to get access to the MLS you are going to have to find a Broker that is a Realtor and then join your local Realtor Association and become a Realtor yourself.

You will need to choose a broker to put your license with, join the board, local, state and national, pay all your fees! Lots of them, to the tune of initially about $900.
Is is worth all that to you just to gain access to MLS?
There are plenty of free online agent websites you can go to and search the MLS!Katerina Gasset, CIPS, Realtor, Business, Health and Personal Coach, Marketing Consultant, Speaker & Trainer. Our Real Estate Office is located in Wellington Florida.

Membership and paying your dues will provide the access you desire.

I do not know the rules for all states but I do know that you do not have to join/pay mls/realtor dues unless your PB is a memberas well. If you want to hang your license without paying a bunch of dues, try finding office with a PB not with Realtor/MLS.
