First of all I want to say what a great site this is! I am going to be attending classes to get licensed in the state of Ohio soon. I am not going to attempt to do it on a fulltime basis right away for financial reasons but would love to in a year or two. I'm currently a Internet Sales Manager in the car business and looking to get out. Being in the car business I will only be able to dedicate 1 weekday, Sundays and evenings to real estate. The only good thing is that I am in front of my computer 10 hours a day at the dealership so I will still be able to be somewhat productive while at my day job. If someone would be kind enough to answer the questions below it would give me a good head start on my business plan.

1 - Avg office use rent per month?

2 - Is all advertising expenses the agents responsibilty including open house signs? If yes what type of costs will I be looking at. (I can build my own webiste.)

3 - Do agents pay a per listing fee to have their clients home on the MLS? If so how much?

4 - Other costs involved with working for a broker?

5 - Is the average spilt 50/50?

Obviously none of this means anyhting if I don't get a listing but I'm the type of person that will put my name all over the place and go door to door to get a listing.
