Default need advice on marketing idea/mobile office.

Hi. I am Tim, a 21 year old who just got my RE license. I had a possible marketing idea and wanted some input as to if people think it would be successful or not. I've always had vehicles to make people turn there heads. In winter '04 I had a truck I did up with 250 holiday lights and drove around town. The following year I did up my Jeep Cherokee with over 1,250 lights, a full size sleigh, lots of decorations, and an external music playing holiday music while going down the road. It attracted tons of attention, and landed me in the newspaper as well as two local parades. I skipped this past holiday '06 so I could save for my biggest project yet. I found a small bus (front of a mid 80-s ford van with 14 foot bus attached). Anyway, I had big plans for this coming winter '07 to use tons of plywood and create a house over the body of the bus. It would be painted and higly detailed, then decorated with lights, etc. I was then thinking, why not try and use this as a marketing tool. I could simply put my name as well as the name of my future broker on the side in vinyl as well as my phone # and an inviting phrase. I could even take it a step further and gut the interior and drywall it, flooring, etc. and turn it into a sort of mobile office. Does this sound too crazy for a prospect home-seller to be interested in? There is certainly nothing like this around and wouldn't it be great if I could show a potential buyer a home, then if interested, they could step in my mobile office and access and/or fill out any paperwork they wish. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also, one might think it's not worth the $1k cost to do this, but I was planning on it for the holidays anyway, so why not kill two birds with one stone and then be able to write it off as an expense too!

    Excellent!!!!!

This sounds truly origninal!!! In this business you HAVE TO BE DIFFERENT.
anything creative you can do to set your self apart and be innovative is great.

People will certainly notice - am sure you can get some free press from this

Mobile office - sounds great, I always wanted to something similar. Also am sure it will help you pick up new listings too.

Thanks for the feedback. To me it doesn't take a rocket scientist or have a masters' in advertising/marketing to think of some creative techniques to set yourself apart from the rest. I just don't know if some seller's would have a problem w/ me parking the thing in their driveway or outside their house, but I have two other vehicles so it's not like there aren't any other options. I am very excited to get the project going and really wish I could do it before next winter, however I moved back home with my parent's and they want no such thing in their yard/driveway. I am buying a 4-family that I will be occupying this summer, so it may have to wait until then. Thanks again
