Unhappy Want to find a realty firm that is supportive

    Hello...
I am a new realtor. Signed up with a broker in Valencia, Realty Executives, I really do not like the training. They are really informal training, our trainer spends her entire time talking about her vacation. By the time it's time to finish, we've only cover 20% of the material. The office where I am at is really cold, no team work, no one to help. My mentor is always busy, she is the only mentor for the whole office. I don't feel comfortable there. Originally wanted to go with Keller Williams but heard about the pyramid plan, and that turned me away. Anyone heard of Dilbeck Realty? Thank you

Coldwell Banker has been extraordinary helpful to me and I'm not even licensed yet. They invited me for a talk, they sent me links to snoop around in their intranet, they even provided me with audio CD's to help me with my studying for the exam.
I guess it depends on the people you're dealing with though.

find a broker with a strong sales record. ask around where you're at locally. century 21 can be good or Remax, basically because they're such a huge name.

As far as I know REMAX won't touch new agents...Coldwell is an excellent place to start, they have a great training program....
I would advise to use their training and then when you have some experience move on to somewhere where you can get a better deal...

that's an idea. you definitely want to go where they have the best training. but watch out for the training as well. you don't want to become a robot like so many of them. keep your mind open to new ways to market, be involved in the cutting edge of techniques to sell and do your homework on your own.

practice your techniques of effective communication - open ended questions and the like.

sales is all about information - presenting it and getting it from buyers/sellers - in any business really.

    information is king.
