    Question reinstating license question

I plan to reinstate my salesperson license here in Georgia. I placed the license on inactive status about 3 years ago. I was unware that the license lapsed on 1/31/2011. Now they are telling me I own $400 and that fee increases $25 each month. I thought placing my license in inactive status would freeze all fees. Does anybody know if this is correct?

It would be better to review the most recent law or rule in your area about licenses and inactive licensees. It might be that there were certain rules that was changed just after you became an inactive licensee, and that you were not able to update yourself about it.

Perhaps, that fee could be used in activating your license again or for CE purposes for you to renew your license and be able to use it again in your area.
