Good old fashioned- Open house
I have been doing a lot of open houses lately to try and get my name out there as I am relatively new to the bussiness of Real estate. I have had no real success, but some of the biggest real estate agents in our marketplace said that is how they got there start. What is the best approach for an open house any tips from and tricks would be much appreciated. For example do you ask peole to sign in and leave contact info? Offer food or drinks? aggressive or laid back approach to selling?
Thanks
Cheers!

Unless you're in a really high end area food and drinks, in my opinion, are not necessary and a waste of money. But if you would like to provide water or something that isn't a bad idea.
Are you using your own personal branded signs or your general brokerage's signs for the open houses?
May be a good idea to do flyers around the neighborhood saying your having the open house and to stop by...who knows, they may be looking to sell as well.
Always have some sort of handout to give to every personal walking in with maybe similar properties or more info on the home with your contact info on it.
