Non-US Citizen/Resident
Hi,
My name is Varun and I'm new to this site. I've almost finished getting my u.grad degree at a college in the US. However, I'm a Canadian citizen and am only temporarily in the US with a student visa. How do I go about investing in property in the United States? Do I have to get a green card in order to do so?
If any one can offer any advice in this particular field I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
Varun

I am not sure about other states, and in the state of Florida you don't have to be a U.S citizen to invest in real estate. There are many people that live in Canada that own real estate down here as their second home. If your interested in property in the Tampa Bay area feel free to contact me I'd love to work with you.

Hmm. As far as I know you should get a permanent job or stable job inside the US with legal documents presented. Then after a few years, depending on the required period of time you will then be or possibly be able to have your own property inside US or after obtaining a residency from the US government.
