Arrow Cost of installing a tile floor...

    Hi friends,

I have a small L shape kitchen approximately 60 square feet. This was measured by a friend. I bought the tile and was wondering about how much I should expect to pay to have it installed. I have a linoleum floor that I want to replace. I live in Atlanta.

Any suggestion or opinion is appreciated. Thanks for your suggestions.

The best way to calculate is to check your local supply store and inquire about the price range of the tiles and then the tile cement. The next thing you should shop around is for the cost of the services of the installer. If you can find a tile supplier with an installing service offer, ask what their package price is and see if the cost of the materials is included in the service.

I would suggest calling several tile setters in your area. They should be able to give you a rough cost per SF for your area. Construction costs vary tremendously based on the area you live in.

Tile flooring installation can range for labor only between $4 and $7 per square foot depending on patterns, tile size and the amount of cuts involved.

You can obviously pay more or less depending on the installer but thats a fairly common range.

I would suggest that you give a call or visit to hardwares and inquire about the prices of the particular materials that would be needed before coming up with an estimate. In other words, you should do some canvassing for tile prices differ according to size, style, etc.
