What's your schedule like?
I am new to real estate and am wondering what a typical work week will look like when I become an agent. I intend to work full time as a residential agent. Can someone give an example of their typical work week? Is their any consistency? Do you take a full day or two off?

schedule
I take as much time as I like, as long as I make money at the end of the day. A great book for you to read that will give you a better idea of what to exect as a new agent is "What no one is telling about being a real estate sales agent". The book can be found at www.realestatecareersecrets.com check it out, it helped me out tons!

Well, if you're doing it right you'll be busy on weekends when you first start out. That is the best way to get yourself out there and it doesn't cost you anything (except the cost of food & drinks)

Real estate offers the Illusion of Controlling Your Time! You can work as much or as little as you want, but I'll tell ya... if real estate is the right career for you, you'll LOVE doing your job! Especially when the phone rings, even on your day off... you can't wait to answer it and see who is on the other end. In my first year, I hardly ever took any time off just because I was having so much fun.
But the cool thing is that you can take time off when you need it... wanna work out on Tuesday afternoon? No problem. Sleep in on Friday? Sure! But when the phone rings, even on Sunday afternoon during the football game, you probably oughta answer it...
I can't post links on this forum 'cause I'm new to it, but if you go to my website at ~ sellwithsoul.com ~ you'll find an excerpt from my book under the tab called... Excerpts... The 7 Myths of a Real Estate Career which somewhat addresses your question. I also have a chapter in the book called "Enthusiasm" which I'd be happy to forward to you if you like.
Great question! Good luck!
Jennifer
