Barely new, Lots of help!

I'm about to start my College course to get my State License this Wednesday. Now I have visited a Mortgage company and they have some offers for me. They would train me to get a closer view of Real Estate and Loan Officer. I will start off at a call center doing telemarketing. He said that he could help me get my certificate to take my state exam in 2 weeks. But I would still have to show up to some 3-4 hour clases they have. Now, ofcourse the cost of my Principles Text is $88. I already have one for my course. He said I don't have to take the college course. Now, I'm so afraid to either ditch College course or go and do this program. How did all you Professionals get your start? Help me please make a specific decision.

Hi. I am a lawyer and real estate broker and investor very very active in the real estate biz in South Florida and a couple things you need to know. First, technically to "learn the biz" all you have to do is find a lender willing to teach you for which you will sacrifice some of your split. Second, starting in Telemarketing is a bunch of well...you know....being a good mortgage person is not about selling it on the phone. Stay away. And for G-d's sake anyone that discourages you from college classes is definitely not where you want to be. I am not in the mortgage biz but have a lot of friends that are. If you have your stuff together and are serious, feel free to drop me a line and I'll get you some contacts to talk to.

And all I can say is Oh Please....do people actually buy this stuff...I am a real estate attorney and investor and have been in this biz for a long time and well, you know what a load of bull this is...please take it somewhere else...
