Rules in Referral

If we ever do a commission slit that is not 50/50, it is becuase We are offering more to the selling agent in hopes to draw more intrest from other agents in our market.

We are not out to get rich on every deal... Just make a nice living
Take care of your customers and the money will take care of itself.
If you are watching the dollars, your focus is all wrong

I am interested in knowing if this is legal in your states. In PA our commission splits don't have to be 50/50. If I have a listing at 6% I can keep 3.5% for myself and comp out 2.5% to the buyer agent.

I don't do this with my listings because I don't like it and don't believe it's always fair. For some agents and brokers this is standard practice.

I've always done 50/50. I dont know if its a Law.

If your friend is not in the Central Florida area, I would like to let you know that I also do referrals at 30%+. I pretty much service the following areas: Kissimmee, Orlando, Davenport, Haines City, Poinciana, Reunion, Harmony. I'll be happy to help you with any leads that are moving to anyone of these areas.
