question about agencies

Hi, I will be taking my test soon and was wondering, what agency will be good to work with? I am in southern nj and was advised that foxtons was not a good agency. I would like to know the difference between remax, prudential, century 21 and others.

HI - Every one is different and even every broker within each company is different - so I'd find a few local offices for the ones you are interested and interview the manager or person in charge of recruiting and ask questions. Also talk to some agents that work there and see what they have to say...

some questions I nkow i'm asking:

how much time is an agent required to spend at the office? Do you allow part + full time?

what type of training do you offer and is there a cost associated?

what are the fees I should expect (desk fee, technology fee, mls, board, license, e&o insurance, etc...)

does your office provide signage or do i? what about lockboxes?

can agents negotiate their own rates with sellers?

what type of advertsiing does your office do? are agents allowed to have their own website and does your company offer one - what is price?

what is the broker/agent commission split?

do you offer any reimbursement for the principles & practices class?

That's about all I've been asking.. so far I'm leaning towards C21,.. I'm up in CT... the broker around here is pretty big and seems to be the best so far but i have 2 more to interview....
