    Default Questions and Advice appreciated.

Hello everyone, glad I found this forum. I will give you some background info about me to maybe help you answer my questions. I am married with 2 kids. I took the real estate license class a few months ago and have yet to take the exam, I work full-time, the catch is I am off Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues. I work a job that I dont want to be at forever and would love to be able to leave that job and do real estate full time eventually. 1st question, hopefully some newer PA agents(i am from PA) or newer agents can see this one, what is the best way to study and prepare for the test? I want to use my time in preparing for this test wisely. How much time did you put in preparing for the exam, etc.? Any info will help? Ido not have any study guides just the books I got for the classes. Thanks.
2nd question, Do brokers dislike real estate agents that start out part time? I would be starting out part time until I knew I could provide a good enough income to leave my current job.

    Default Good luck

I was in a similar situation just a couple of months ago, got my real estate license in Arizona, moved to Washington State and transfered the license there. As far as studying goes, get yourself the Real Estate Book that is mainly used in your area and start reading the summary pages of each chapter. after you are done with that take the quizzes. When you get a question wrong go back into the main text and read bout it until you know the answer. This will save you some time. The most important thing is "verbiage", you need to know what all the real estate lingo means. usually you'll find it in the back of the book, make flashcards and have someone quizz you. Another resource I found helpful is nightbeforetheexam dot com(just put the www infront) I have used that page when I prepared myself for the license transfer. Good luck :-).

I think, it's the ability, skills and personality that counts...not on how you get started.
