    Default Hello All

Hello, Just wanted to intro myself. I am agent in Southwest Florida, I live in Cape Coral, Fl. I am with Century 21, and I love this so far. Just completed my first listing and sale. I have been either lucky or good but doing great in this market. I have just sold my 3rd property. I am looking at web page, any idea how much great site costs and where to get it done. This is a nice site, look forward to meeting everyone. Joe

    Hi Joe! Welcome.

I lived in Cape Coral back in... aaa ... well it has been a while ago - 34 years ago. All it was was vacant subdivisions stretching for miles with no houses in them. Guess it's changed a lot?

Real Estate products for new agents - there are good ones and there are others that just waste your money. You can build your own site and save a lot of money. Hosting is less than $100 a year and a domain name can be had for $15 for two years. Or, you can get someone to design it and not spend the time. As Thesa mentioned, sitetutor is a good place to get started.

One of my favorite stories about new agents spending money was when one of our new agents came to me and was so excited about a new ad campaign she had purchased. She described the grocery store receipts and how they had ads on the back of them. She had purchased 3 months of ads on the back of receipts for ONLY $3,650!!! I asked her one question: "What do you do with your grocery store receipts?", she answered "Well me, I throw mine away or leave them in the sack". I just smiled. Over those 3 months, not one single phone call from grocery store receipts.

Bottom line is, don't buy anything unless you KNOW it will produce business. A good website will be one of your best investments.
