Default Why Location IS Important TO choosing new home?

The first step in deciding on a new home is your lifestyle at present and how your lifestyle will change over the next few years. Are you active in sports? If so, a location with a nearby recreational facility would be ideal. Are you a nature lover? Then perhaps an area with parks and walking trails would suit you. Think about yourself and your family and decide what you enjoy doing and what type of lifestyle you would enjoy in your new home.

Can you say "location, location, location!"

I couldn't agree more. As home buyers look here in our real estate market in Minnesota, location remains key.

I think sometimes buyers can forget "big ticket" items that can affect resale of the home down the road. Avoiding busy roads, backing to busy roads, train tracks, etc. Some of that seems obviously, but a good real estate agent should be pointing that out to all of their buyers before purchasing.

I agree that the location is important because buying a house in a poor location may actually cost you money in the long run. You must need to consider if the place is easy to access. Ideally, it should be near to public transportation or important establishment such as school, market, etc to save money for commuting or to save money on gasoline if you have a car.

It will just do you no good, no matter how well constructed the home you bought was if you have problems with the community and location of the home. Always choose the perfect location for your home as this will bring you better enjoyment and comfort.

Initially, if I'm a buyers, I would consider the locations. As you said, it would be according to your lifestyle. Also the fact that the convenience and comfortability you would feel in the location. But what if the house that is according to your lifestyle is a little far away from where you've been? You are going to move away from the place you became familiar. Also the fact that the people living with you are to consider. It's not only you, they may have different lifestyle.

Location is the only thing in a property that cannot be changed (unless you move the house, which isn't feasible most of the time).

Everything else can be modified, including tearing down the house and re-building.
