    Default Florida?

I am thinking about moving to florida and getting my real estate license. I do have a years worth of expenses if needed, but will have some income from a part time home based business to help while getting started.

My main question is with the downturn in Florida economy is this a bad time to get my license and get started?

    Default Florida?

    Hello,

I don't think it is ever a bad time to get started, although the market is down quite a bit in Florida.

Even though people are buying and selling less than they were 5 years ago, there are still realtors making very good money in Florida. I know of a younger man in North Palm Beach who is selling several houses a month on a consistent basis.

He is a true believer of "attracting" the sales to him, and this is, among being a diligent worker, the only thing that has made him a top performer in real estate sales.

If you believe you will get the sales, and you demand the slaes, you should be just fine.

    Good Luck.

I believe now is a good time to get into Real Estate as sales have been increasing and many of the agents who came on board during the boom have left the industry.

So its not a bad idea after all! haha I figured I would get ripped, due to the housing crisis down there. Although, I do see value in getting started and getting my name out there, so when things do pick up I am ready to go.

I have a question for you, what is your part time source of income and would you consider another legitimate source of income if it was industry related and you could make a full time income while doing it PART TIME ?

Anything is possible and if you do not try, you will never know if you could have become successful. Or lost time and money trying.

One factor to consider is the additional costs involved to become successful. Most agents drop out after 3 years, many do not make ANY money for 6-12 months.

Your success, or lack of it, is highly dependent on the effort, time & money you put into it.

    But you can do it!
