Default Legally Making Commission From Rentals...Need Help!

How do I coordinate the rental contract to get a commission? When looking in my MLS, I do not see the appropriate documents/forms to complete this. I'm just a little lost Thank you!

Umm..with all respect...I find it hard to believe that you are a Realtor and you don't know how to write up a rental agreement. And any Realtor would know that if they have a simple question, they'd go to their Broker for answers, especially where those questions concern contracts. And any Realtor that I know would know that their standard forms would be found at the State Association of Realtors web site, where you have a login as a Realtor. If you were a Realtor, I find it hard to believe that you didn't know that either. I mean, where are you checking to see if you are meeting your continuing education requirements? Are you waiting to get a notice in the mail stating your license has lapsed?

Sorry, don't mean to sound tough, but I feel for your broker when (s)he has an agent who's 1. asking how to fill out a contract on an internet forum and 2. you've not listed what state you are in, and 3. I feel your next question would be "how much commission should I charge on this thing." I just cringe when I see agents do those sorts of things.

Well to be honest, I should of worded this a little differently. I didn't mean to ask how to write up a listing agreement. With over 50 listings in my first 12 months of being a realtor with over 30 sales, I've wrote many contracts. After going back and reading my thread, I can understand where you came from. My main question was how to direct a commission from a rental contract. In my area, rental agreements with realtors are rare. I just had that simple question.

I look for info on this forum, and yeah I worded my thread the wrong way. But I get sick when people like you act the way you do. Us new realtors look for info on here, we don't look for personal opinions and judgements against us personally. Honestly, you come off as a piece of **** by acting the way you did. These forums are to answer questions and to find info, not judge and attack others.

I didn't write "listing agreement" I wrote "rental agreement." I also said that I was sorry for being tough. You also said you understood where I was coming from, yet you finished with all that other tantrum stuff in the end. Let's take a look at it.

But I get sick when people like you act the way you do. Us new realtors look for info on here, we don't look for personal opinions and judgements against us personally. I don't know on whose behalf you are speaking when you say "we" but personal opinions are very much welcome here, especially when those personal opinions are wise to some degree.

As for "judgments", I'm sure you have a complete misunderstanding as to what it means to "judge", at least in this context. If by judge you meant that when I said I think it would be best if you ask your broker how to write up a rental agreement and that I find it hard to believe that you are a Realtor, then yes, you misunderstand. We all judge every day. It's not wise to judge as in to give a *moral assessment* of one's being. But it's most definitely "correct" to "judge" that someone is doing something wrong and should be corrected.

And wow, what a contradiction to say that I personally attacked you (yet I didn't see a quote...mainly because it doesn't exist) and then you follow with a clear and undebatable personal attack, and I quote, "you come off as a piece of **** " just shows how out of control you are when it comes to your behavior.

Now I see why you came here to ask that question. If your Broker had half a brain and you responded that way to him when (s)he was giving you some tough love, you would have been out the door on your behind. I will accept that you are a delicate flower and end this discussion right here. Good luck, sweety. I'll let you get back to your Barbra Streisand Cd while drinking your glass of white zinfandel.
