    Default Florida Exam

Is the florida real estate exam realy the hardest in the country...I have heard that it has around a 70% failure rate. Is this true?

I had heard similar stories so I studied like you wouldn't believe. When you go in to take the exam on the computer, you can mark questions to go back to. My strategy was this--I have a lot of time to take the exam so I will take my time and any questions I'm unsure of, I will mark. That way, I can answer the ones I'm completely sure I got correct and see how I stand.

I sat down and read the first question and instantly knew the answer. That went on for quite some time. Long story short, I had answered 92 and marked only 8 that I was unsure of. The entire exam took me about 50 minutes and I passed. Now, I don't know if that's a product of the exam being easier than people told me or if I just studied adequately. Also, question who is taking the exam and not passing. When I stopped and gave it some thought, the people telling me it was amazingly difficult weren't the test-taking type. The ones that thought it was easy had college degrees, masters degrees and so on. Who knows, really. Just study as much as you possibly can for the exam and you'll be fine. Don't think, "I've done enough studying. I should be good." Go in there feeling like you could write a study-guide for the exam. Then you know you'll be fine.

I passed it on the first time too. So did my wife. I don't know....didn't seem that difficult to me. I suppose it probably had something to do with the amount of prep time that I put into it. There are some good courses out there. Check it out.

I'm taking the Florida exam in 3 days. I've passed the end of course exam with 92% and it took me only 35 minutes to anwer all questions.
I bought the Practice Exam CD Rom, have been taking practice exams about every day and I'm now at a score around 85% to 90%.
Honestly, I don't think the material in the study book is impossible to understand, it's not rocket science!
My course instructor told me of a company that sends in people to take and fail the exam. Once they're done, they record whatever questions they remember as soon as they walk out. They have tons of people doing this and from their information they create a duplicate of the exam that is guaranteed to get you through. Those test takers fail on purpose so they can retake the exam, recording more and more questions. I would imagine those people bring down the the passing ratio quite a bit.

In my class were about 15 people. I would say about 1/3 of them will not pass the exam based on how they performed during class. They were either not that serious about a career in Real Estate or they didn't have what it takes to comprehend the material in the book. I guess those kind of folks go and give it a shot. If they fail, there's always McDonald's hiring.

    Default I passed!

I passed my exam today. Honestly, my initial exam was last week Thursday and I blew it. Went back home, made a new appointment for today, spent all weekend long with my nose back in the book. I passed!
Going tomorrow to fill out the 2050 with my broker, start work on the 9th.

    Congratulations!

    Good Luck

for anyone else taking the exam, gold coast real estate's cram course, pretty much gives you all the answers!

Though personally I think the test should be much harder and probably should include a personailty and IQ test lol...
