The Hardest Part Of Getting Started...
After being in real estate for a bunch of years, what do YOU think is the hardest part about actually getting out there and doing your first deal?
Like what was the 1 single thing that held you back from actually doing your first deal...and how did you overcome that obstacle?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!

What do you think is your # one Client generator?
Hard work! sphere of influence is important also, but you will grow it if you makes friends and contacts easy. I'm fairly new also. What do you think is your # one Client generator?
Do you farm expired listings?
Search local fsbo listings?
Investment clubs in your area?
Home Builders?

THe best part for me is when I won the deal or i had closed deal it is
truly rewarding for all the efforts you did to make it happen, The hardest part is when the clients are having so many complaints about several matters and in the end they will just leave after all the things you did for them.

I would say getting leads. As a new agent you have zero name branding. Unless, you join a large organization like Century 21 or Remax, I think the hardest part is getting leads.
Tallahassee Homes - Premier Construction & Development Inc. or for more information check Tallahassee Homes for Sale - Capital Property Consultants Inc.
For information on the Jacksonville market see Jacksonville Homes for Sale to learn more.

I would say a lot of it is mindset. Many times an agent comes from a 9-5 job where they get paid for what they do. You go into real estate and you have to go for periods of time without getting paid. Many times you feel like you are beating your head against the wall. You have to remember that you are going to work for a period of time however if you work diligently and effictively you will see a return on your time.
Understanding that the process takes time is key!

Developing your sphere
Starting out in a city where I have only lived in for a couple years. Contacts are definately the most difficult to generate.

Hi good question indeed. The first sell is the hardest. Please see your market and improvise and prepare yourself according to that. I wish all the success.

The hardest part of starting was when you get a good leads from a client which is hard to deal with but it was so worth it after you have closed that deal with fair price.

It was funny cause I didn't contacted my partners for some days and was utterly in fear of losing my money. But now it's cool. I made my first deal in Santa Cruz Ca. Still I'm doing business with my partners.

What do you think is the most effective way of getting leads in your market? I'm pretty new also.
Flyers, FSBO's, Expireds, Cold calling...
I'm just not getting any bites right now. I'm not sure what I should spend my time doing... Nothing I try seems to be effective unless it was from a person I knew before real estate and even then they don't seem to trust me as much as I'd think they would considering my considerable preparation for being an agent.RE/MAX Pinnacle Group Realtor, Dallas/Fort Worth and surrounding areas
