I recommend interviewing about 3 or 4 brokerages to see what they offer. Maybe a couple franchise brokerages and local less known brokerages. Also I personally would look for the best training over a higher commission. You won't get commission if you don't know what to do. Just my 2 cents.

Spend nothing except what is required until someone you know and trust/value their opinion says it is a good thing. There are so many money wasting schemes out targeting real estate professionals.

On another note, get to blogging and a website is a must, not a company website but one you own the domain name, etc.

Learn about SOI (sphere of influence). Learn about SEO. Take every training class at your company and REALTOR association.

And remember this is tough but you can do it! Good luck and I am sure you will be a great success!

You know Google won't even look at an new website unless it's at least a year old! That means...no matter what you don't stand a chance getting any google position until your website has been up and running for 12 months min

The forums "Search Engine Marketing" and "Webmaster..." can offer a lot of information. You will also see various threads regarding internet marketing and Google. Read as much as you can and understand that none of these concepts offer instant results. It takes some work and time to really make internet marketing work for you. It is worth the investment, though.
