Don't know if I need to disclose this on my Florida Real Estate License application?
Before I start, I already filled out my application, but I called DBPR and they said I can still disclose the information VIA fax.
Anyways, when I was 18 years old (23 now) I got two tickets, one for speeding and one for reckless driving. I went to court for both of them, and from what I remember the judge gave me an option. Basically to pick a ticket. Now that's from I remember.
Obvioulsly I picked the speeding ticket. I plead no contest to that one, got my points on my license, and did my driving school.
Is the reckless driving ticket something I need to disclose? I might just disclose it just in case. Is this something I could be denied because of?
More info: I got put in handcuffs at the time I got the reckless driving ticket, but never got fingerprinted...my parents came and picked me and I was able to drive home, my license wasn't suspended. From what I recall, no punishment was given to me for the reckless driving ticket, like probation or community service.
Any advice would be appreciated.
PS. I'm getting my fingerprints done tonight and I should be going to the court house tommorow to get my records if I can get off of work.
I'm going tommorow to the court house to get my records and see exactly what happened.

I don't think that is anything that is going to prevent you from getting you licenese, but personally I would definitely disclose it. It is unlikely, but if you didn't disclose it and it is on your record and they determine somehow this constitutes "mortal torpitude" you could never get your license. Be safe and disclose it.

Thanks, I appreciate your response.
I'm hopefully going to go to the courts today and get my record so I can disclose everything I know about that case. If not, definitly tommorow.
I just feel so stressed out right now lol. Between this, my class exam coming up and my state exam....AHHHHHHHH!

I'm not an expert but I doubt that is something to worry about. Disclose it just in case, but don't stress over it. At 18 who hasn't done something like that? There would be far less agents around today if they denied licenses for the stupid things people do at 18.

Yeah, I made sure to disclose it when I sent in my application.
Kind of sucks though, I will probably have to wait longer to get my approval to take the state exam. I just finished my class and would like to take the state whiles it's fresh in my head. Oh well.

Flashcards always worked best for me. Make a stack of about 100 or so and learn em 10 at a time. In a day you can memorize all 100 and keep em fresh in your mind until the exam. .
