    Default Hard to find sponser

I am studying for my Nevada agent exam and have previously been licensed in CA back in 91. It would seem like it would be fairly easy to get a face-to-face meeting with local Brokers to discuss a my eagerness to get back into the business. I have emailed several brokers/owners, sometimes twice and have only received one response. I fully understand the current market conditions, but would think some of these folks would be interested in new agents that will be ready to get to work as the market improves. I don't get it.

Default Real estate agents - being new

Right now is certainly a crazy time to be in the real estate business. It is certaily a much more difficult time period for brokers to find profitablity. With tons of homes for sale on the MLS, and not as many closings taking place, alot of shops have closed down.

With this being said, you certainly should be able to find a couple top real estate companies to interview with.

I would keep calling....go with a one of the big national companies.

    I hope this helps.

I would say the best way to go is just walk into the offices that you're interested in and ask for the broker. As a broker I'm more interested in an agent that comes to me and puts forth some effort over someone who calls or sends and email (my least favorite contact). Just a thought.

Also, take a look at real estate signs in the area, or do a search online. Find a couple of good agents and ask about the company they are licensed at. You should be able to find someplace that will be more than happy to have you join them.

I agree about doing your research first. Decide what company suits you best and then dress up and show up. Walk right in and introduce yourself. Remember that you will be making them money and if you don't feel welcome or appreciated it isn't a good fit. If you are serious about selling real estate you will be an asset to whichever company you chose. Go get 'em!
