Help needed from new agent: Question about Do not Call
Hi All,
I just pass my exam and found a sponser broker. I need to find some potential clients, and I saw a lot of FSBO sign with the tel number. I don't know if it is allowed for me to call them and offer the service or can I just knock the door? Since I don't know if the owner has put their phone number on Do not call List, is there a safe way I can call them and don't violate the law?
In addition, I know hold a open house might get some leads. However, I don't have any listing yet, and I am planning to stay out side of an open house and talk with any potential buyer there to find my opportunity. I don't if that is a doable method or it is unethical. I don't want to break the rule in Real Estate too.
Thanks for all your advise.

Knock on the FSBO doors for the best results.
Check the do not call list before you call them or any stranger. https://www.donotcall.gov/ You can download some of the lists for free.

If your looking for business instead of standing in front of someone's Open House, ask someone in your office if you can hold an Open House for them with the stipulation that you will keep all the prospects that walk through the door that are not working with agents. Then walk the neighborhood with an invitation to come to the open house you just might get a listing.

Question about Do not Call Reply to Thread
I have found post cards to be the most effective way to get new clients. It builds up a brand and keeps you in mind if you are consistent with the mailings. I would mail the same folks at least once a month for 6 months
