Default What do you think about MSN?

In a world that has become so dominated by Google, Microsoft is trying their hardest to catch up for lost ground. How do you think they are doing?

If I'm not wrong I heard that yahoo and MSN joined their hands to bit google search engine. But it is really difficult to reach at that peak.

MSN has its own niche and it is working, but I think that Microsoft needs to promote it better than they are doing now.

Not even close. There was even a lawsuit against MSN when it tried to imitate Google's search results pages. Anyways, if they don't do something spectacular (which I don't think they can), they will never be even close to Google. They are not even close to Yahoo for that matter. Check out the figures.

    Default Msn

I was never a big fan of MSN. I did notice that they put an emphasis on marketing the news to its customers. I have the MSN messenger and it is really bad. I really don't like the MSN messenger in part because the privacy agreement says it is ok for them to sell your information.

Bing isn't too bad. I noticed they like to promote entertainment in the form of video and pictures.

I agree. I think Bing is coming up. I also think that Google is fueling Bing's fire somewhat with Google's price on adwords and the painful google updates. Eventually, if yahoo and bing continue to increase in popularity adwords will decrease in price because there will be more competition. This is a good thing

i haven't really used msn at all since the google boom , but recently they showed they are fighting back , the map feature seems to help them gain some ground on google , now bing is also starting to impose itself , microsoft have bought skype i'm sure the will make the most of it to help their brand grow . they tried to buy yahoo few years ago but that didn't go well for them ,i'm not sure about this but i think they also tried to buy facebook . all this shows that Microsoft are a major player on the online business and they are not willing to let google dominate this smarket .
