Bing
Has anyone seen any traffic from the new search engine, Bing from MSN? I was wondering if I should get more info on optimizing for it.

SEO for Bing
If you are optimizing to Google the rest of the engines will index you as well.

I agree entirely with ralphie13. I am getting actually more traffic from Bing than Yahoo.

I'm seeing a little increased traffic from Bing. It's much easier to rise in results than Google.
However, I get the feeling that people using Bing are mostly computer illiterates who don't know how to change their default homepage. They click anything that comes up in their results, whether or not the description matches what they want. As a result, I get lots of bounces from Bing.
That's my theory anyway.

Actually more and more people are using Bing. I think the trend will continue. From what I can tell the search results are just as good as Google and much better than Yahoo.

I get more direct traffic to my sites, than from Bing.
And while there are going to be fans of Bing - Bing remains a very spammable search engine.
If they start gaining market share, expect spammers to start concentrating their efforts to fill up the search results for Bing (which will in turn cause people to go back to Google).

Bing is the current web search engine from Microsoft. Unveiled by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer on May 28, 2009 at the All Things Digital conference in San Diego, Bing is a replacement for Live Search. It went fully online on June 3, 2009 with a preview version released on June 1, 2009.
