Registering a local business on Bing is so strange. They actually have to send you your verification number in the mail and it takes 2 weeks.
And yes, Bing is the second biggest search engine, but I mainly attribute that to computer illiterates. They buy a new computer and have msn set to their homepage (Which they don't know how to change).

Bing is a lot more friendly than Google for me. Google came up with Sandbox and it is just like Bing and since the conception or merger, it has done nothing but increase in search shares. So to answre your question REmaster, No Bing is not like Google, but Google's Sandbox engine is like Bing's algo. I can't say this is a fact, from what I've seen though many people believe it is true. My rankings are very similar in bing and G.Sandbox
Like it or not, Bing is here to stay. They are already elevating the bar in some ways, their Image search is nice and the SE really rocks when searching for travel. The best part will be having another major player for advertising.Last edited by Brainerd Minnesota; 08-22-2009 at 11:23 PM. Reason: revision

Get ready for change
As soon as you figure which search engine is best and learn how to get ranked they will change the algo. So just stay persistent and be willing to spend endless boring hours on SEO
Good luck
